Ok, I know nearly no one reads me, but Dini, Sam, could you please get people to help me with this? I need sound files of asuka. Something of her getting hit in various levels of pain - angry voices would work too. Something with her exerting herself like she would in a jump is also necessary. I could also use footsteps on a variety of surfaces if possible. An interesting dying sound would be nice. Some choking or drowning noise. Also, falling (a short hop, and a scream like she's falling to her death). Also, I need a good idea for a taunt that would work with most of her outfits (the one with the notes, her yellow dress, the eva suit, and the school fuku is probably all I'll do).
Also, if someone could get a good shot of the back of her head (with the thingies in her hair), and the back of each of her outfits, I'd be very grateful.
Oh, and if you couldn't tell, I'm making a q3a model of her :)

Heh... I already knew that not all of Cowboy Bebop was aired on tv in Japan... but I just found out that 14 episodes were cut out of it's airing. Over half the series, and virtually all of the plot. CN has only skipped three; Sympathy for the Devil, Waltz for Venus, and Cowboy Funk.

motherf%$^%#... was downloading the non-encrypted KoF2000 rom for use in Kawaks, but the fricking power went out TWICE during it. Took me a total of about 6 hours, effectively. x_x all to play a KoF in an emu that doesn't have support for my gamepad (psxpad converted to USB, I love it so much). Oh well, so far the only emu to support kof2k. I have a modified driver for MAME, but it doesn't work properly because the S1 should be 512kb but is only 128 since the MVS hardware normally has support for only 128k S-roms. bleh.

Will respond to blogs later, if anyone actually reads this besides Dini and Sam.

Hee hee, SunOS5 would be me at school ^^; I use these remote terminals to a mainframe with a 16-processor UltraSPARC2 with something like 20gb of ram. Biggest iron I've ever seen. Jeff got a DDR dance mat yesterday while he was in stockton - took TWO tries, too. Looked online, software etc had some in. Turns out they sold all 5 of them yesterday. Funco had one, so he got it while we picked up pizza.

Sob ;_; The Place is closing down - while it wasn't necessarily the best place to import cds and such, it was my first real place (not like that shitty gamecave that i dunno if its still around), and it was _close_ and they shipped USPS - so in stock stuff would get here the next day. Now they're getting rid of their DVDs, so I advise anyone who reads this to take a look (if you want region 2 DVDs).

Oooh, Evil Dead. My favorite is the second one...

Damn, I never realized how UGLY netscape 4.x is. Supports only the barest minimum of CSS, screws up rendering of other things... bleeh.
I put some thought into maybe learning XHTML 1.0 or HTML 4.01, both STRICT. It'd be an interesting exercise... I've decided I'm not going to even try for CSS2. That's so amazingly complicated, it's nearly a programming language. But at the very least it DOES get those nasty layout tags out of HTML (it's a formatting language. Want pixel-perfect? use CSS).
In any case, it'll be neat to go through w3c's validator and come out clean.

MAME 0.56 was released today, which is too bad since now I have to reget changed roms. *sigh*, I'm 2/3 of the way to having a 100% complete set of roms though. Maybe by the end of the month...

So for halloween I was Cardinal Ximinez of "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition" fame. It went over well at school. We got virtually no trick-or-treaters so it looks like I'm going to be bringing candy to eat during Java and Japanese.

Well, I suppose that's about all that's going on now.
Oh right - conundrum of the moment. Is it just me or does Utah Saints Theme from Mortal Kombat take from 2 Unlimited's Twilight Zone?

Hee hee, CSS demos. Rather interesting to look at the difference between IE's compliance and Mozilla's. Worth it to install if you have a fast connection. In fact, Mozilla works amazingly well (and find your prefs.js or whatever, and add user_pref("dom.disable_open_during_load", true); to it. It'll get rid of popups when you load up a page and close a page, without killing popups you click to get. Some other interesting prefs here. Anyway, enough evangelizing; time for bed.
